My first remote work
September is my eldest and second daughter’s birthday. They turned 16 and 11 years old, respectively.
I was 23 years old when I gave birth to eldest dauter.
I might haven’t worked remotely if she hadn’t been.
So I found a job when I got pregnant.
I remember I was scared I didn’t have a job because I was young.
But I hated not acting, only worrying.
The work was to draw a floor plan of the house and condominium by Illustrator.
I had never used it but I learned how to use it.
The salary was 900-1600 yen (about $9-16) for each floor plan.
I finished it in about an hour.
I often draw it during my daughter’s sleeping time.
It was a great job at that time.
Although it has now become common, this is my first online job. It has been 17 years since then.
I am always grateful for the ability to work on my laptop anytime, anywhere.
I would also like to thank my daughter for giving me the opportunity to do so.
